January 15, 2005 - The public sector spends billions of dollars building large IT systems. Most of these systems fail. The public sector loses. We, the taxpayers lose.This can change. It is
possible to build better public sector IT systems at lower costs with
more of the money benefiting small local businesses. But we will need
to revamp the way public sector IT procurement is done.
